For our argument, we can say that:
Premise 4 (implicit): “A drought is an example of natural climate change.”
Premise 5 (implicit): “Similar events to this drought can indicate broader climate patterns.”
Therefore, the droughts of the present have the same cause.
The argument seems to suggest that because there were droughts in the past, this completely explains current climate change. However, this does not necessarily follow. Past climatic events do not invalidate the evidence that human activities are contributing to current climate change.
