This technique leads to others such as demanding more reliable evidence once the requested evidence has been received, giving a forced or distorted interpretation of a situation or an opponent’s position in order to make it difficult to understand, and misrepresenting or exaggerating an opponent’s position in order to make it easier to attack.[1]
