Digital Academy against Climate Change Disinformation
The “Digital Academy against Climate Change Disinformation,” part of the AGORA project, aims to equip citizens and stakeholders with reliable climate change information and fact-checked data from credible sources. The Academy aims to enhance public and stakeholder skills to combat climate change disinformation.
It offers comprehensive resources and educational materials, empowering users to discern accurate information, understand the impact of disinformation, and engage in informed discussions. Regular updates ensure content reflects the latest scientific findings and fact-checking efforts, promoting environmental literacy and evidence-based decision-making in addressing climate change challenges.
The AGORA Project
The AGORA project supports the overall objectives of the Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change by leveraging and step forwarding best practices, innovative approaches, policy instruments and governance mechanisms to meaningfully and effectively engage communities and regions in climate actions, accelerating and upscaling adaptation process for building a climate resilient Europe.
In the framework of the project 4 digital tools will be developed:
- The AGORA Community Hub
- Two Digital Academies
- A Digital Handbook
- A mobile App
Digital Academy to access and use climate data and monitor Climate Risks
The Digital Academy to Access and Use Climate Data and Monitor Climate Risks is the second Academy developed in the framework of the AGORA project. The Academy aims to foster greater understanding and practical application of climate data to support effective climate adaptation strategies. It supports citizens and stakeholders in accessing and utilizing high-quality, open-source climate and risk data.
The AGORA Community Hub
The AGORA Community Hub is the living digital environment that enables stakeholders, scientists, experts, media and citizens to network and communicate, facilitating them to find peers and other communities from other geographical or societal contexts to share challenges and needs.
