How disinformation spreads and sticks 1/9
What is disinformation?
Disinformation refers to false or misleading information that is intentionally created and shared to deceive others. It is often used to manipulate public opinion, promote a political agenda, gain social or political influence, or make money.
Unlike disinformation, misinformation is also false—but it is shared by people who genuinely believe it to be true. This often happens when individuals pass along inaccurate content without checking its source or context.
