Criteria for evaluating sources 5/9
- Who
Disinformation often spreads through anonymous sources or individuals without expertise. Verifying the author or publisher is the first step toward trustworthy information.
Ask the following questions:
- Who created or published the information?
- Is it written by a scientist, journalist, or recognised institution?
- Can you confirm their credentials or background?
- Do they have a history of reliable work—or are they known for misinformation?
