How to use and visualize climate data? 3/4

Model-based data: re-analysis and climate projections

Reanalysis products recreate past climate conditions by blending historical observational data with modern models, filling in gaps and offering a consistent, detailed climate record. In contrast, climate projections look forward, simulating future climates based on different scenarios of emissions and land use. While reanalysis helps us understand how the climate has changed, projections prepare us for what’s ahead.
