Nowadays, people are literally bombarded with information and discern real news from fake news, is hard, as hard is to identify reality from altered reality resulting from data manipulation and AI (artificial intelligence) applications.
On social media platforms, advertisements, news, disinformation, facts, fabrications, records, and opinions all converge. In this “information soup” people are supposed to thrive and take decisions based on the data collected, analyzed, and stored in their repository of knowledge.
An article about AI and climate disinformation, from Galaz e. Al (2023), states
