2.1 Digital consumers and critical thinking

Every time we engage with content—scrolling through social media, searching for information, watching videos—we are acting as digital consumers. However, not all content is reliable or neutral. Algorithms shape what we see. Advertisers, influencers, and political actors may all compete for our attention, often using persuasive or misleading techniques.
