Watch for logical fallacies

Another way to spot climate disinformation is by recognising the use of flawed reasoning—what we call logical fallacies. These are misleading arguments that may sound convincing but lack a solid logical basis. For example, a disinformation claim might attack the person making an argument instead of addressing the argument itself—this is known as an ad hominem fallacy.
