3. Misusing weather events

Weather-based narratives exploit people’s limited understanding of climate science by confusing local weather with global climate patterns. They often use unusual weather events, such as snowstorms or heatwaves, to dismiss or misrepresent the causes and consequences of climate change. This oversimplification encourages misunderstanding and denial.
